Located in west-central Illinois, the terrain consists of rolling hills interspersed with creek bottoms. The majority of our property is hardwoods with the predominate trees being white and red oaks located on ridges that vary in elevation from 100 to 200 feet.
Our turkey population has constantly grown to where we can now offer spring hunts that will provide you with the opportunity to harvest a truly big eastern trophy turkey. Typically, our turkeys run from a weight of 23 to 25 pounds and sport beards 10 to 12 inches long. The Illinois turkey season runs from mid April through mid May. The state of Illinois permits turkey hunting from one-half hour before sunrise until 1:00 pm daily.
If you are looking for a quality early spring hunt in outstanding habitat with a lot of turkeys, a hunt in which you do not have to worry about someone else working the same bird and the chance at exceptionally big trophy turkeys, then you really should choose Bowhunting Whitetails for you next spring gobbler hunt.
